Going Elsewhere

I thought you might like to find out a little more about the places that I have worked and some of my current affilliations. Here they are.

Intensive Experiences

Guggenheim Museum
Check the technique, it's a worthy cause. Consider myself fortunate, grateful to have had the pleasure of making sound contributions alongside such esteemed colleagues.
Condé Nast
Back in full. Good peoples all around. Money-making type folks -- tight executioners and such.
Heavy Inc.
That was interesting.
CondéNet
Lots of style and fashion. Plenty of hard work and substance. All great people. Unfortunately, what once was is no more.
Time
This is the newsweekly of choice for millions of readers around the world. That's print. I was part of the crack team working to build a strong online presence.
Reuters Media
A powerful global organization full of hard-working teams that I am happy and proud to say I was a part of.
The Wall Street Journal Online
The official online version of the known and respected newspaper. I am more than serious when I say that the men and women here are true professionals when it comes to delivering news and information to the masses.
National Law Journal
Another online property of ALM, I worked at NLJ.com when I wasn't at NYLJ.com. They were in separate locations, but not far from one another. One of the things I really picked up on here is how there are commonalities among all, yet each newsroom can still be recognized as its own little microcosm.
New York Law Journal
I spent the majority of my time here when I was working for ALM. There are several good groups of people working over there on Park Ave., and I learned a lot about editorial processes from my time spent with them.
RichFX
It's the R&D division at this online visual marketing solution provider that gets my respect. These guys work hard and taught me a lot of what I know about software development cycles and methodologies.
The Independent Florida Alligator
Students recognize this as the official yet independent college paper for the University of Florida. The newsroom was easy to get to at about three blocks away from my apartment. That made the commute much easier on the many late nights here.
Interactive Media Lab
UF's IML is home to many online journalism and digital information delivery innovations. And the people that work there are awesome -- highly recommended for any j-schoolers at UF looking to learn and exercise online skills.
Center for Instructional Technology & Training
UF's CITT identifies professors as students. During a large part of my time here, I focused on the use of PDAs in the classroom as a learning tool and educational resource. As a student, it was a great opportunity to generate learning resources for groups of professors. You can learn a lot by teaching.
H.O.K.
This group of institutional architects plays a significant role in creating our grandest surroundings. The work is clean, complete and sustainable.

Organizational Affiliations

Deadline Club
The New York City Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. I have a lot of respect for the actions and ideals of this organization. That's probably why I am so actively engaged.
Online News Association
I am a member of The Online News Association due to their focus on my preferred medium. I'm not particularly active on the local level. It as though local events are not that common among the membership. Nonetheless, the ONA's activities and output continue to raise my interest and earn my support.
Gala Corina
I've been involved with this artist collective in Tampa, Florida off and on since our first show in 1999. The event has manifested into something more grandiose than any of the founding artists could have imagined.
Usability Professionals' Association
I drew some diagrams and compiled some elements to manifest concepts that allow for greater learning and sound application. These guys and gals do similar things.
